About Me

My life...

Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father's house, to the land which I will show you; Genesis 12:1
God called Abram away from his home and the family he knew to lead him to a place He was going to show him. He didn't give a map or itinerary... God just said, "Go." Abram did an extraordinary thing... he went!! He stepped out in faith, trusting that God was going to be faithful and Abram followed the God that called him. Wow!

We first sensed God calling us to ministry in 1998. We had been married a year, had left the military service and were trying to find our way in our home state. We tried to side-step our calling a few times only to have doors that we saw as 'wide open' slammed in our faces. So we were humbled and went to Bible School. We then found that a river of blessing does indeed flow from the fountain of our Lord!! We simply had to bend our knees, hold out our hands, and accept what was freely given.

It has not been an easy road, but God has provided all we needed for the journey. It has not been a short road, but God has given us strength for the long walk and fellow travelers for comfort. These fellow Believers provided much encouragement during our travels and we thank God for them! We are still journeying down this road that God has called us to walk. We stepped out in Faith; we experienced all the emotions present with leaving the 'land we knew' to follow our Lord. We are eager to share our journey, our growth, and our Faith with you. You are welcome to journey alongside us! We are happy to share our history with you, which has truly shaped who we are today.
Take my life and let it be;consecrated Lord to thee. Take my moments and my days, let them flow in ceaseless praise, let them flow in ceaseless praise. Take my will and make it thine; it shall be no longer mine. Take my heart it is thine own, it shall be thy royal throne, it shall be thy royal throne.

About us...

We were married in our hometown, inside the church where we met, by a close friend of my Grandfather's. Ben was serving the military as an enlisted Infantry guy at Fort Lewis, WA. Kay was attempting to get a business degree in a small Iowan school.

In the sixteen years we have been married we have: lived in ten states, we have moved eleven times (thanks Big Army!!), we have been gifted with five children, we have done nine years of schooling, and have two degrees to show for it!
We enjoy hiking, playing family games, watching movies, good coffee, and great food. Ben loves history and has infected his whole family with the joy of history hunting. We make the most of our nomadic lifestyle and visit all the local history we can get our family van to! We also enjoy the variety of topography God has created in this great country of ours.
